New Ink

I said a while ago I was working on a new tattoo. Actually I have several in my mind, and slowly but surely they are becoming reality. The Yates tattoo came to be because of my new name, and what I was leaving behind. It really is in memory of the relationship my dad and I have. In fact, he actually tattooed the heart on me. I still can't believe I let him come within four feet of me with a needle.

Over all it turned out better then I could imagine.

I will always have a piece of my dad with me wherever I go.

Art Shmart

I have realized leaving my fathers house is going to take longer then expected. After I signed up to go to school for two and a half years and pay out my ears for it, staying home is a need more than a want. Well, downstairs (where I am located) has always been my dads style. I haven't taken time to put my things down there so I have decided to frame and put up my own artwork. Here is one of the pieces hanging that I finished at the beginning of this month.

Below is the original.

Eventually I plan to have more artwork up. A little more me.

A Rebel Without A Cause

James Dean has always been a hero of mine. Back in high school I did a charcoal picture of him. All of these years I have stored it claiming one day I would put a frame on that sucker! Finally today I went out and got one then hung it on my wall. Take a look. Pardon the glair.

Here is the original photograph.

I try to do more artwork, I think it would be great to have a house full of my stuff once I get a house. The older I get the less time I have to really sit down and draw and let the creative juices flow. Until then I can look at the beautiful James Dean in his rightful spot on my wall.
